Improved application security and optimized access control

Access Gateway is Citrix` SSL VPN solution to provide secure network access for mobile users. The application uses endpoint analysis (EPA) capabilities to monitor whether end user devices fulfill all relevant security criteria. Only if the endpoint device meets the appropriate security standards, the user is connected to the company data and applications that he is granted access to. However, the capabilities of Citrix EPAs are limited. They are complicated and maintenance-intensive even if the requirements are relatively simple.

K-iS MultiScan solutions

As Citrix Gold Solution Advisor, we gained experience in hundreds of projects. Hence, we know the expectations of our customers with regard to application security and endpoint analysis capabilities. For that reason, we developed easy-to-use EPAs for Citrix Access Gateway Advanced and Enterprise. Customers benefit from solutions that can be deployed individually. Each K-iS MultiScan solution represents a host scan that checks certain conditions on the client system. The available host scans are classified into various categories. Comprehensive scans form an individual category. On the basis of their functionality scale, smaller scans are combined to host scan series.

New Features for K-iS EPA MultiScan 3.2 for Access Gateway Advanced and higher

  • MultiScan EPA Center
    It combines the different administration instruments in a single tool. The solution is plug-in based.

  • Free Advanced MAC Address Scan
    The MAC Address Scan is a frequently required endpoint analysis. Unfortunately, the scan offered by Citrix does not provide the functionality to save notes related to a specific MAC address. Therefore, administration becomes extremely difficult. We provide the extended MAC Address Scan for free. It is administrated via the MultiScan Center.

  • Adding virus scanners that are not supported
    If you use a virus scan solutions that we do not support so far, or if you upgrade to a new version of a virus scanner that does not function with the K-iS MultiScan solution any longer, you can manually add your own virus scanner via the MultiScan Center.

  • EarthSite Scan
    Using EarthSite Scan, a module of the Advanced series, you can check where a specific endpoint device is currently located (country and city).

With steadyPRINT, data losses due to printer downtimes are finally a thing of the past. Using a centralized printer management tool, print jobs are processed and transferred to a backup print server in case of printer failures.
